OpenManage Server Administrator is now updated to 6.5 and is available for download. You can check out what is new in OMSA 6.5 by going to the documentation page.
For this release, we added Release.gpg to the repository, so that you can use apt-key to authenticate packages. For directions on how to add the repository key, please go to the instructions page. As for fixes, dataeng start-up runlevels are corrected to reflect Debian/Ubuntu defaults. Also, srvadmin-services.sh script is modified to use bash as shell and dsm_om_shrvc is removed from the list of startup services. To make this release possible, Kent Baxley from Canonical has again helped test the packages.

I am happy to find out that Dell is offering more support for Ubuntu. I have several PowerEdges and all run Ubuntu, which is a active distro and fit very well for academic research use.
