After upgrading my xps 12 to windows 8.1 (from 8.1 preview) Dell system detect no longer works. When I go to the dell support website to upgrade, or use anything on here that needs system detect it just hangs after system detect opens.
I'm having the same issue and I have Idea how to fix it.

Same problem here too. Dell System Detect seems to be running in the background but IE can't "find" it.
Windows Smartscreen blocks it. Dell acts like they never heard of this. Shows how attentive they are to their products.
