The preinstalled version of DigitalPersona (3.1 I believe, 32-bit) already on my Studio 1737 laptop worked great when I had the original vista OS. But, after needing a new hard drive and upgrading to Windows 7, the installation disk for my DigitalPersona software no longer works because I installed the 64-bit Windows 7.
Do I need to now purchase the new 64-bit version from DigitalPersona, or can Dell send me a updated install disk?
Any help is appreciated.
Download Authentec AES2810 (Fingerprint Reader W7 64-bit) this is DigitalPersona.
Install the drivers in the Vista SP2 compatibility mode.
Right click on the drivers file, left click properties, left click compatibility. Change the compatibility to Vista. Then right click on the drivers, left click run as administrator.
What is a Dell Service Tag and how do I locate it?
