I have an Inspiron 6400 and used Support Centre to check for updates on my drivers. The recommended driver released 3/4/09 GM build patch 3.3-2.2.8335 unzipped successfully and when using the install wizard was told that "Another version of this product is already installed, installation of this version cannot continue, to configure or remove the existing version of this product, use Add/remove programs on Control Panel." Under my Add/remove I have Support Centre Software and Support Centre Update 2.2.09085 installed on 14/10/09 and it says this update cannot be removed.
My question is whether or not I need to install the recommended driver and if so, how to do so if I cannot remove the Update 2.2.09085.
