Hi guys. sorry if this is in the wrong spot, not too sure where to put it.
Anyway I'm trying to upgrade to windows 7 and I need to upgrade my BiOS. When I use the website for drivers and whatnot every time I had something to my download list and click download it just tries to get me to download the driver manager app (which I already have). In the driver manager it says I have no downloads whats going on?
DO NOT use the Dell download manager. Only download what you want direct. Uninstall the download manager and any cookies for it. Then restart the PC and access the Dell downloads and just download what you want, such as the BIOS, direct.

well I try to download it directly and all it gives me is the download installer for the manager. I have also tried Add to download list>download selected and it gives me the manager again
What makes you think you need to upgrade your BIOS. Nothing in the descriptions os A08, A09, or A10 appear to be related to Windows 7
the error it gives me when I start the installation says to.
Windows cannot be installed on this computer with the current system BIOS version. Contact your computer manufacturer for a BIOS update, install the update, and then start Windows installation again.

Delete all of your Dell cookies and restart your browser ... it will ask you again if you want to download via your browser or the Download Manager (don't use the Download Manager - it's nothing but trouble).
Or you can download it from here:ftp://ftp.dell.com/bios/1420_A10.EXE
Thanks for the link that worked flawlessly
