  • Danchu,

What you will need to do is connect to the drac via the web service (https://ip of drac) Once logged in you will need to go to System-Remote Access - click Configuration Tab- then click Serial. You then need to select to configure RAC settings. From there you can increase the MAXIMUM SESSIONS.

Now the error can also be caused from the drac being out of date. What is it showing for the revision?

the problem is - it is impossible  even after   reset. The maximum number of user sessions is  still reached after reset. I'm  surprised  but it's true.

    Verision is 1.51 (Build "09.12.11")

  • That's not an answer for me. I am getting the "maximum number of user sessions is reached" when I use the https interface.

Even a hard reset doesn't clear it. The ssh interface still works. What is the racadm command to fix this?

  • Gently reshared from http://kenumemoto.blogspot.be/2014/01/dell-drac-rac0218-maximum-number-of.html?showComment=1395664503247#c8143864608647804317

Connect via ssh to the idrac en use this command to reset all sessions, the ssh session you use for this command included.

    "racadm racreset"

  • I have tried that as well.

So far the SSH session is also failing for me. Pesky rock and a hard place........

  • We had the same issue, I called ProSupport and they advised there is a known issue with the firmware, we upgraded to 1.56.55 via the lifecycle controller and now it is working agian

You can also download it here http://www.dell.com/support/drivers/us/en/19/DriverDetails/Product/poweredge-r720?driverID=V554G&urlProductCode=false

  • Interesting - I will have to try that at some point.

    We are using 1.50.50 (Build34)

  • Interesting results so far.........

  • I still have not been able to upgrade the Firmware on the drac. Very frustrating now.

  • I finally got the firmware updated and this appears to of resolved the issue.

    Now running 1.56.55.
