DDP only seems to accept contactless smartcards. I don't see an option to use contact smartcard. How do I do that?
Currently Contacted SmartCard is available for our Self-Encrypting Drive Manager and our Dell Encryption applications. For Self-Encrypting Drive clients, please see the KB article here:
for Dell Encryption (policy based encryption), as long as we can authenticate to the operating system with the smart-card, that should allow us to properly activate and unlock keys. If you are still having issues authenticating to Dell Encryption with SmartCard, it may be best to reach out to our support teams to identify and resolve the issues with the application.
