My monitor just recently started turning itself off and then it is hard to turn back on. I have a BENQ FP72G+S which I have paired with a Dell Inspiron 530 running Windows 7. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
* Turn the monitor off* Disconnect all monitor cords from the computer* Disconnect the monitor power cord from the rear of the monitor* Press and hold the monitor power button in for 5 seconds* Reconnect the monitor power cord to the rear of the monitor* Turn the monitor on* The floating red/green/blue/white dialog box should appear on screen against a black background and the monitor should not shut off- If it FAILS, the monitor is defective- If it PASSES, the culprit is either the video card driver, the video card, or the cabling
