Hi, I've had my U2410 monitor now for several years and it's been great. Recently I tried to set up the card reader but couldn't find the uplink cables. I thought they were just standard USB and got a couple only to find that they don't work. Where can I get a set of cables that will work?
Hi timbo2410,
Welcome to the Dell Community.
The USB upstream cable, which is needed to activate the USB ports on the monitor, is supplied along with the monitor. It should be in the packaging.
You can also check the link below form more details on the package contents and also on how to use the ports.

Yep I seem to have lost the cables and cannot find them. Where can I get another set from please.
Thank you for your response.
The specifications and pricing information for the USB upstream/uplink cable is given in the link below:

You can also purchase such a cable from a local computer store.
Hi and thanks for your help. I've looked at the a-b cable and there is no connection on the monitor with that type of plug. There are two of the standard usb ports but not the "printer" type ports. I thought it would be a usb to usb type cable that was needed?
Please open the link below and scroll down to the Back View under Identifying Parts and Features. The port labeled 11 is the USB ‘B’ type port. One end of that cable should connect to it and the other should connect to the regular USB port on the system tower.

Kindly let us know if this port is visible.
Hi again, yes the port is there, so I have been using the wrong port :-(
I thought that the card reader would be using the usb ports on the side. Thanks for sorting this out for me. Have a great day
Tim
Glad that I could be of assistance. Have a great day!
