This forum was so helpful (THANKS A BUNCH RICK!!!!!) with a previous scanning issue that I had that I thought I'd tresspass on your good graces once again. This question has been asked before without any replies so I'm going out on a limb and asking it again - is there a way to scan multiple pages with the Dell AIO printer? I tried scanning multiples to Open Office annd crashed the program and scanning multiples to MS Paint showed only 1 page. Using Wordpad forces me to save and send each individual page. Could someone provide instructions or direct me to a user guide/web site/ etc. that would help? Thanks so much!
Did you install Abbyy Sprint Reader fro the printer disk? If so, did you open it and then register it. You'll then be allowed to update it.
Then you'll need to Update list of applications to send scans to and put Open Office(swriter) in the list of applications to send scans to. Let me see if I can copy this from the 926 Manual
Turn on your computer and printer, and make sure they are connected.
Load your original document. For more information, see Loading Original Documents on the Scanner Glass.
Click Start® Programs or All Programs® Dell Printers® Dell Photo AIO Printer 926.
Select Dell All-In-One Center.
The Dell All-In-One Center opens.
From the Send scanned image to: drop-down menu, select the program you want to use.
Click See More Scan Settings to customize your scan.
Click the Advanced button.
The Advanced Scan Settings dialog box opens.
On the Scan tab, select the Scan multiple items before output check box.
When you finish customizing your settings, click Scan Now.
After you scan the first page, a prompt appears requesting the next page.
Place the next sheet on the scanner glass, and click Yes. Repeat until you finish scanning all pages.
Click No when asked for another page.
The program opens with the multiple pages scanned.
What is a Dell Service Tag and how do I locate it?

Thank you Rick for taking the time to supply such a complete answer. Following your instructions I was able to scan multiple pages to OpenOffice. But the scanned pages in OO contained number columns that were garbled and out of format, which was the problem you helped me with 2 weeks ago. It seems that documents with lots of numbers need to be scanned and saved individually. Thanks so much for your help.
If you scan them seperately and save them, you can then copy and paste them to one larger document, I think. My new printer scans to pdf in a much smaller size. Unknown if you want to try scanning multiple pages to a pdf or not.
Thanks so much Rick for all of your helpful suggestions. I'll try it.
