My mothers 1320c color laser just popped up with an error alert on the control panel. Looking into it, it says that we have printer error 009-340-0x00002000.
I can run diagnostics from the dell application, and all the tests seem to pass, but the printer will not print. I cannot print a test page. I have it hooked up USB, tried 2 cables and a different port -
anyone know what this error code is, and is it something I can fix for her? Thanks -
I have had the same problem twice. The answer is there is a sensor on the inside of the front cover that needs cleaning and it is an easy fix with a q-tip. Directions are similar to support.dell.com/.../sectiofv.htm.
Look to the top of the blackheat backing and just below the 2 pictograms with red and white. wipe gently and you will see the toner come off. Then restart the printer and all should be just fine.
