This causes your connection to fail. Most wireless networks have a troubleshoot button and/or repair button. The repair button does this. It sends the command and does the following, this can be done manually using these commands, startruncmdipconfig /releaseipconfig /renewipconfig /flushdnsIf your computer cannot renew the ip address then you need to use this tool to get thinks working again. It's called WinSock XP Fix. SWEEEEET! The WinSock XP Fix you recommended worked like magic. Since I didn't have an internet connection on my desktop to access it, I used my laptop (via wireless connection) and downloaded it to my jump drive, then transferred the download to my desktop, and installed it. Walllaaa--internet connection restored. Amazing. Thank you!!!!
