I hope Dell can help me with this problem.

In the devicemanager i see a exclamation mark for the Intel(R) PRO/Wireless LAN 2100 3A Mini PCI Adapter, normaly i update the BIOS or (re)install the (latest)driver when ik have a problem like this. but this isn't working.

The error is:

  • The device cannot start (Code 10)
  • This device isn't using any resources because it has a problem.

If tried many sollutions, but non of them work:

  • updated the BIOS
  • installed the chipset again
  • the latest driver is installed (6/11/2003 - version 1.2.0.56)
  • install the latest drivers for other devices (eg. usb2, smartcard, chipset)
  • de-installed the intel proset (in normal and safemode)
  • sometimes when i re-install a the Wireless drivers (setupWLD.exe v4.0.14.0) de external USB keyboard isn't working anymore, after a reboot this is fixed again.

The system is a:

  • Latitude D600
  • Bios A08
  • Windows 2000 SP3
  • USB keyboard
  • USB mouse

extra info:

  • When i start the computer in Safe Mode there is no problem with any device
  • the Wireless Lan is using IRQ 11 in safemode
