I have a Dell XPS 17 with an Intel(R) Centrino(R) Advanced-N 6230 wireless card.
For the last couple of weeks/months I lose internet connectivity when using the card.
According to Intel/Windows I am connected to my Router but just with limited access.
Other WiFi devices in the house are not affected and I have even upgraded the router so I am ruling out a ISP/Router issue.
I have reset the adapter multiple times and even updated the drivers but none of these have resolved the issue.
Below are some of the common error message logs:

What is the make and model of your wireless router? Whay type os security and what channel are you using?
Dell has Updated Drivers for the Intel 6230 Wireless Networking Adapter
Intel® WiFi Products — Power Save Polling (PSP) causes connection issues with some access points
Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Power Options\Create a Power Plan
Select High performance.
Start, control panel, device manager. Click on Network and then right click on your wireless adapter, left click properties, power management. Uncheck the box, allow computer to turn off this device to save power.
While you in the device manager, look to see if this adapter has Antenna Diversity. Some adapters have this and some don't. If your adapter has Antenna Diversity, try changing it from Auto to Aux. Can you please let me know if this adapter has antenna diversity(Thanks)

I did have a Netgear WGR614 and I now have a Virgin Super Hub.
I was using WEP and I am now using WPA2 Personal.
I was using channel 3 but I am now using 11.
The adapter does not have an antenna diversity.
I have altered the settings as suggested but no luck!
I have been playing with other settings but still no joy.
Once again many thanks for your help.
I would try WPA-PSK(TKIP) Security(Persoanl)
Try making a new SSID to make connecting easier.
Remember to power cycle the isp modem/router and the Netgear.
The ISP modem/rpouter, is it a Thompson router?
After some more playing, I now have internet.
I am still getting error messages in the log so I will monitor it over the next few days.

I still think you'll have problems when you go away from the wireless router. If this is the case, contact Dell Tech Support.
