I have a Inspiron 1525 laptop running Vista 32 bit.  Wireless works fine but I was having trouble with a wired connection.  I plug it into my router and it connects for 3 secs, then says network cable unplugged.  It repeats this cycle connecting and disconnecting every 5 secs.  I tried everything switching router port, cable, firewall, updating NIC driver all with the wireless disconnected.  My desktop works on the router as well.

I finally switched the configuration of my NIC, Marvell Yukon 88E8040 PCI-E Fast Ethernet Controller, (the speed) from Automatic to 10 mbps full duplex.  100 full/half would not work as well.  Now I'm downloading at half the speed of my wireless connection.  I downloaded the latest driver 11.41.3.3 from the Marvell site but still the same.  How do I get my NIC to work at 100 mbps?

Thanks,

Kevin
