Wireless 802.11b/g/n

This question is not answered

Hi everyone, I'm going to buy a new laptop but my wireless (Wi-Fi) is a 802.11b/g and the laptop i'm going to get is a 802.11b/g/n but I don't know if they are compatible.  I would be greatful if some could help me by answering my 2 queries

If I bought a wireless router that was 802.11b/g/n, would my laptop be compatible if it was a 802.11b/g

And

If my wireless was a 802.11b/g and I bought a dell laptop which will be a 802.11b/g/n would this be compatible.

Thank you everyone

A wireless router has different frequencies. Most wireless 802.11 a/b/g routers use the 2.4gh band. Wireless N routers use the 5.8gh band.

Without getting too technical, A wireless 802.11 b/g/n card will connect to your wireless b/g router with no problems.
