Hi,

I'm trying to set up an ad-hoc network on my Dell Lattitude E6400, which is running Windows XP Professional SP3, so that I can use it to connect to my Lexmark wireless printer.

My laptop is less than a month old, and it came pre-installed with ControlPoint's Connection Manager, which is handling all things network and internet-related.  I've been playing around with this on my computer and talking to experts all day.  I'm told that I could use Wireless Zero Configuration (WZC) to disable ControlPoint and set up the ad-hoc network using Windows, but that solution would only be temporary.  Or, I could uninstall Connection Manager alltogether and permanently use Windows, which I prefer not to do...

I have been told that THERE IS A WAY to set up a wireless ad hoc network and still use ControlPoint's Connection Manager.  Can anyone help?  Thanks!
