error 105 (Net::err_name_not_resolved): Unable to resolve the server's DNS address

This question is not answered

I have just got a Dell Inspiron on 12-25-11. And it has been working beautifully... until now. Whenever I go to Google Chrome or Steam it will not connect at all. And when I go to; For Instance, When I go to "Google Chrome" and go to  "Facebook" it says "error 105 (Net::err_name_not_resolved): Unable to resolve the server's DNS address". And when I go to "Steam" it just simply says "no connection". I would greatly appreciate help!

  • LoganLord,

Some people think it has something to do with Google Chrome. In the thread I found, I also found this...

Click Start =>Run, type in CMD, press OK.

Copy and paste this into the Command prompt:

    netsh winsock reset catalog

    Press Enter

Then copy and paste this in:

    netsh int ip reset reset.log

    Press Enter.

    When finished restart your computer.

What is a Dell Service Tag and how do I locate it?

Original poster, If you have solved your problem, can you please mark the correct thread(s) with your solution. Thanks
