  • Hi sam139,

I suggest you to try charging with the different adapter. You will need to replace the AC Adapter, if the Battery charges from the know good adapter. You may also run the hardware diagnostics to check if all the other components are working properly by following the steps provided in the link below:

Please let me know about your findings.

  • the diagnostics show that everything is clear and that there are no problems concerning either the battery pack or the AC adapter
the bios recognises the AC adapter when arriving to windows it shows "plugged in charging" 1 minute later shows "plugged in not charging" i really can't understand the problem

  • Yesterday i discharged completely the battery and plugged in the AC POWER the battery charged till 66% and did not go beyond i repeated it twice same problem

Dell battery meter indicates that the battery performs normally

Bios recognizes the AC : 65W and dell support center does not detect any problems nor the diagnostics at the boot screen
