Your solution normally needs a laptop that has a numpad to enter ASCII codes (ALT + 164 and ALT 165 are also possible)

    other solutions would be:
    >Character Map (awkward)
    >free remapping software (the most versatile solution)
    >Windows built-in OnScreenKeyboard in combination with added spanish language
    >an extremely useful online translation software - "QTranslate" that comes with its own tiny and quickly accessible OnScreenKeyboard

Windows OSK plus added spanish language

  • Hi maisiekaye,

I did some research and was able to find the following information.

    • For a small letter ñ: hold the Alt key in your keyboard while pressing 0241
      ALT + 0241 = ñ
    • For a big or capital letter Ñ: hold the Alt key in your keyboard while pressing 0209
      Alt + 0209 = Ñ

You may refer to the following link http://bit.ly/135KqCR.

    Hope this information helps.

  • tried this but it didn't work. thanks for helping anyway! :)

  • Thanks for helping. I think I would just settle for the character map as a solution for my query. I didn't anticipate that this model would not have a numeric lock key.

  • Hi maisiekaye,

I also researched and what MicroTest has suggested seems to be the most viable option available. Glad that you found his information helpful.

@ MicroTest: thank you for your valuable inputs; this was a good find.
