Dell Inspiron N5110 - 3 Beeps

I have a laptop that won't boot.

After turning it on, the screen remains blank and I get 3 beeps every 5-10 seconds.

Unfortunately the laptop is a month out of warranty.  Any idea what this could be?

    3 beeps indicate system board failure.

  • Hi same as the op here for me, 1 month out of warranty and have the 3 beeps, you state that this is system board failure,

    is this normal life expectancy for this laptop where the most it does is play games on facebook? its never been dropped or damaged in any way and been well looked after.

  • The motherboard was indeed goosed, cheapest fix for me was buy an extended warranty and although i was not happy that i had to do this after 14 months of very little use it was by far the cheapest.
