hi! i have a dell studio xps 1645.My question is .If i don't have a battery on my laptop and i don't have a ac adapter 130w and a bios a13 it can affect my laptop performance?Beceause all the games i had played on my laptop all are throttling .Thanks!
The AC adapters shipped with the system are 90 Watt and 130 Watt. The AC adapter that would have been shipped with your system depends on the system's configuration. If your system was shipped with 130 Watt AC adapter, it is recommended to use the same Wattage of adapter, otherwise your system may not wok properly.
It is okay to play games on your system without the battery. Please share some more information on the issue with the games. Also, please let me know which AC adapter are you using with your system.
Keep me posted. Please reply for any further questions.

use a 90 w ac adapter and the laptop performance may not work properly .i

b and i barely play that game on medium detail but it's still causing me tr
ouble, the game runs ok for a moment and then for 2-3 second it frezees.
This can either be an issue with the ac adapter or the motherboard. Let's try and isolate the issue:
Check the ac adapter's status in BIOS:
Boot the system into windows. Place the cursor on the battery icon on the right bottom corner of the system and it will show either of the messages:
In case of 'Plugged in, not charging' message, check the battery health meter:
In case you do not find this option, install Quickset application on your system:
Also, connect an alternate ac adapter to check if that charges the battery properly.
I will also recommend you to update the system BIOS in case the message is 'Plugged in, not charging':
Note: Please save any unsaved data as your system will restart automatically after updating the BIOS. Disconnect all the external peripherals like printer, camera, scanner, external hard drive, flash drive etc. Also, the battery should be charged 10% or above.
As far as the system freezing issue is concerned, I will recommend you to uninstall and re install the video driver:
i had entered in bios and it detect my ac adapter but it detect it 65w maybe that is why i have problem with the games and other becouse i have a low ac adapter and my system doesn't work normaly on fully performance.i installed the driver but i have the same issue.i don't have a battery to update my bios.
I am sending you a friend request followed by a private message; please share your system's service tag. I will check the system's configuration and we will proceed accordingly.
