Driver Problem : Network Controller- Inspiron N5010

Hi,

     I had to reinstall my OS (Windows 7 professional).After the installation , I installed all the drivers which I downloaded from Dell support website.But still the Network Controller driver is in yellow ( in device manager). Am able to use my LAN,Bluetooth but Wifi is not working.

Also, I am not able to reduce the brightness of my Screen. The function key only reduces only 1 unit but it does not go beyond that.

Please suggest what needs to be done to resolve the issues.

    Here is the link to download the wireless network card drivers for the computer: http://tinyurl.com/96ahb3d

    Click the link and select Download file and follow the onscreen instructions to download the file and run it.

    Press F2 key to enable the wireless key and check the wireless network connection.

    Quickset driver helps in activating the Function keys.

    Use the following link to download the Dell Quickset:  http://tinyurl.com/8v6sclf

    Select Download file. Once the download is completed, run the driver file. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.

    Restart the computer to save changes and check the functionality by increasing the brightness.

    When you reinstalled the operating system, did you install the Desktop/Notebook system software(if applicable) and the chipset drivers first? If not, the rest of the drivers will fail to install. How to Download and Install Drivers in the Correct Order

    Start with the Desktop/Notebook system software and the chipset drivers and follow the list.

    Please help me understand the situation, after the OS installation have you installed the rest of the drivers on the computer?

    There is particular order in which the drivers need to be installed after the operating system is installed. Here is the link for your reference, http://tinyurl.com/8xvx6xy

    If you have the resource disk, install the drivers in the correct order or use the below given link to install the drivers for the computer: http://www.dell.com/support/drivers/us/en/19/DriversHome/NeedProductSelection?fkey=Drivers_PS

    Click the link, enter the service tag and select the operating system from the dropdown and follow the order in installing the drivers and also select the right network card driver from the list and install it.
