I've searched Dell's website and the Web high and low for a driver for Optiarc AD-7700H.
The only thing that I've been able to find is a firmware update, but this doesn't help me because Windows is saying the driver needs to be reinstalled.
It sounds like the upper or lower filter in your registry got messed up.
Use the FixIt utility from Microsoft.

Great. That worked. But now I'm getting an error in iTunes saying the registry entries that allow iTunes to burn discs are missing. I reinstalled iTunes and it still says the same thing.
It looks like ITunes installs an upper and lower filter. Check out this link.
