my laptop is dell inspiron N5110, i5 - 2410 , 4 GB ram,
It beeps while turning on, but only sometimes.............. i m afraid if it is a sign of some major problem, i want to know why it happens??????? and also want to troubleshoot it. and for this i wanna ur support . plz reply soon..
How many beeps do you hear? How often? Do you have any problems after booting?
The number of beeps will give you an indication of what might be wrong.

hi there im new to the forum, my inspiron beeps 8 times and the screen is stripy with colours. wat can i do !!!!!!!!!!!!
As posted by Bay Wolf. 8 Beeps is a Display Failure and this would seem accurate as you described your Inspiron has stripy colours over the screen. You will need to call technical support and get it repaired.
i have the same problem and non of the above 8 are the problem. There is no error message. Just the beeping sound that starts when the laptop is turned on and either stops or really diminishes when the windows kicks in i.e. when the user login screen appears.

The 7 beep code indicates that there is a processor/motherboard failure. Try releasing the static power and check if the system is working. Follow the steps below.
Switch off the system; remove the battery, ac adapter and the power cable. Press and hold down the power button for thirty seconds to drain any excess static power.
