So i have had a dell studio 17 (cant find exact model but i have an intel core i-7, the enhanced audio basic gfx card and 6gb ram) and its been running great for the entire time. until the beginning of december when i brought it home for christmas break and forgot a charger. so i ordered a 90w dell charger and though it wasnt the same as my original charger(brick was thicker and generated alot of heat) it charged the abttery etc. But when i tried to play skyrim i managed about 45 minutes with my mouse, and cooling pad being the only things plugged in and only skyrim running when the laptop just switched off. At this point the computer felt warm but not overly hot. This happened several times and started to do it while i was just browsing the web etc. I could use the web for longer than skyrim but it would still invariably shut itself off. The only error message i ever recived was that the computer encountered an error and had to shut down unexpectedly. i recived this when i turned the computer back on and it gave me the options of safemode or normal startup. Thinking it was the charger i purchased a new one identical to the one at my college for 50$ that arrived today. however 20 minutes into a game of skyrim bam computer shut off again. The warmth seems to be centered on the heatsink that is just visible when i remove the access panel to the ram, HDD and tv card slot. What can i do? Ive never mistreated any computer i own but have only really worked with desktops before this laptop so im unsure if it needs to be dusted or something as i know my desktop in my dorm collects a huge amount of dust. Please help!
TLDR: Laptop turns itself off with no warning after buying replacement chargers how can i fix it?
