Help to fix my dell studio 1555 laptop- pc checkup failing on hard drive & other problems

  • If the system is out of warranty, you will need a new, 2.5" 9.5 mm SATA notebook drive.  If it's in warranty, run the Dell diagnostics (F12 at powerup) and record the error (format is 0000:0000) that results.  Report that to Dell support and they will ship you a replacement drive.
