I would like to find a diagram that shows where the magnet's are for a Dell Inspiron 1545 laptop, I can't find one!!!
Can someone give me a hint? Are they where the hinges are?
Thank you very much!
Why do you think there are Magnets?

A man said I had magnet's and it wasn't a switch. I just want know where the mechanism is that shuts the screen down when the lid is closed. I read where it's switich on a few other posts.
Some laptops use a mechanical switch, probably located in the hinge area. Others have a magnetic switch, with the magnet usually in the lid above the screen near the center, with the actual switch on the deck near the touchpad. Are you having problems with the display not turning off or on when the lid is closed/opened?
There up on top near my camera near the screen. They are magnets .
