Nvidia Geforce 9800M GTX to replace a Nvidia Geforce 8600 M GT

This question is not answered

Is it possible to replace a Nvidia Geforce 8600M GT with a Nvidia Geforce 9800M GTX on a Dell XPS M1530 laptop?
I am currently running with a Geforce 8600M GT, but the games I like to play require quite a bit more for a graphics card. I am wondering if it is possible to take my 8600M GT out, and replace it with a Geforce 9800M GTX.

If replacing the video card is possible, but a 9800M GTX is not possible, please provide a different video card for me to look at. If you are going to be providing an alternative, please ensure that it has a higher capability than the Geforce 8600M GT. I prefer a card that can run RUSE without much difficulty. Discrete graphics cards are prefered as suggestions.

Also, if soldering gun or other tools are required, please include them in your reply.

  • Sorry, the video circuity is mounted on the system board; there is no separate video card. The video can not be modified or replaced.

  • I own a MSI GX700 which has the nVidia GeForce 8600M GT 512MB graphics card installed and it can be removed to be replaced with another. I know this as i have done this already.
