The Bios battery in my Dell Mini 9 (bought approx. 4 weeks ago) is moving around. This can be heard when the computer is carried around or when I shake it (shake it, baby! scnr).
The battery is obviously connected to some wire, because the netbook is working fine.
I opened the module bay to detect the cause of the rattling noise. Then I saw that it must be related to the bios battery as it touches some of the plastic / other stuff in its vicinity.
Is there anything I (or Dell) can do? This is kind of annoying.
If under warranty Dell must secure the battery.
Look at your service manual to see how the battery is secured within the case.
