  • kakaroto_ss4,

Can you explaing what your problem is with your network adapter?

Can you run Finding System Information REMOVE YOUR PRODUCT ID and REGISTERED OWNER, if using XP, run an ipconfig /all log and post it back here.

  • kakaroto_ss4,

When you reinstalled the operating system, did you install the Dell System Software and the chipset drivers first? If not, the rest of the drivers will fail to install. How to Download and Install Drivers in the Correct Order

Start with the Dell System Software and the chipset drivers and follow the list.

You may have to use the Windows 7 drivers in the Windows 7 Compatibility mode ot the Vista drivers in the Vista Compatibility mode

  • imageshack.us/.../hardt.png

as u can see the internal realtek nic doesnt show there.

  • kakaroto_ss4,

These are Windows 7 drivers, so they'll need to be installed in the Windows 7 Compatibility mode

Download and install in the Windows y Compatibility mode, the following drivers

    Dell System Software

    AMD USB Filter

    Realtek RTS5159 Card Reader

    Realtek RTL8103T Ethernet Controller

Go to Dell Warranty Status enter your service tag number, click on original system. There it will be listed the wireless adapter you have installed.

Then go to Drivers & Downloads enter your service tag, select Windows 7 64-bit, since this system is not spported for Windows 8 and download and install the drivers in the Windows 7 compatibility mode.

Then download and install Dell QuickSet.

Places to look to see if your Connection is enabled

  • i did all and keep not working... look he have the same problem but u didn't help him neither

Dell Inspiron laptop n4110-6 gb RAM- 575 gb HD- intel i-5 processor 1333mhz. Win 7 -64 bit

everything was fine until yesterday...started up laptop and noticed the network connection icon in my task bar hd the "red-x" through it...i knew something was up cuz i had ethernet hardline in to my machine. after I had inspected every possible home netwrok issue...i noticed it was more pc related.

now i go to my device manager to check my network adapters..... there are NONE listed...i go to "View" to find that unhide all devices and note there are only wireless drivers in this device and NOT the typical "realtek-8111E" controller that SHOULD be listed.

So far...i have done these steps

    1) ensured BIOS (my cmos is phoenix tianos build) lan settings are correct- done

    2) Removed RAM from slots

    3) Removed Cmos Battery

    4) waited for 15 minutes.

it is still not working ....anyone know about this issue? i even tried a clean install of win 7 and that doesnt work

bad MB? bad network controller? this is terrible....happened out of nowhere.

    anyone that can help ...please!!!

    best

Use system restore and go back to the first restore point before it was working.

What virus program and firewall are you using? I have seen some virus programs cause connection problems.
