i have a dell inspiron n5110 with windows 7. i recently wiped the drive. so i clean installed a version of 7 64-bit. everything went smoothly. than i put in the drivers and utilities disk which has writing on it that says "use this disk only to reinstall the drivers and utilities" which i am doing. i put it in it and download all the drivers it has check mark on but I am wonder if their is a dell program that checks and makes sure that all the drivers for the laptop are installed correctly.
When you reinstalled the operating system, did you install the Desktop/Notebook system software and the chipset drivers first? If not, the rest of the drivers will fail to install. How to Download and Install Drivers in the Correct Order
Start with the Desktop/Notebook system software and the chipset drivers and follow the list.
What is a Dell Service Tag and how do I locate it?
