Dell Inspiron 1545 - Power issue

This question is not answered

Hi, I have an Inspiron 1545 laptop that will not start up.

It is plugged into a known power supply and the power lead is fine. When connected the white light at the front of the laptop comes on. When the 'on' button is pressed to start the computer the fan starts for about 3 seconds and then NOTHING happens. I had a screen come up last week saying that the laptop had overheated, but now i cannot get any screen to appear.

Any assistance would be appriciated

Many thanks

AH

  • Hi,

I recommend you to check with a good known AC Adapter and check the power LED indicator on the Adapter without plugging into the laptop.

If the AC Adapter has LED lights, check if the light goes off after connecting it with the laptop. Ensure that any external peripherals like printer are disconnected.

Perform flea power .Remove the AC Adapter.

Now, press and hold down the power button for 10 seconds to discharge any static power in the system.

If any USB devices are connected please disconnect it from front and back of the computer. Now restart the computer.

I hope this was helpful. Please reply.

    Thanks and Regards
