Okay I have a dell inspirion n4110 laptop....one day my laptop was on a webisite that made my screen freeze...control, alt, delete-power button, nothing would get me off to my windows...
So call me crazy..lol but i took out the battery for it to restart, and now it just goes to the blank blue and green butterfly screen background. Diagnostics says its my hard drive...how do i fix this??
Assuming you received an error like 2000-0146, it means the hard drive needs to be replaced.
If the system is under warranty, call Dell with the error and they'll replace it.
If not, you'll need a new, 2.5" SATA notebook drive.
Physically replacing the drive :
Then you'll need to reload Windows
the error read: 2000-0142
Im hoping that doesnt mean i have to do all of that. I bought my laptop for $900 at walmart and it was on sale on walmart.com a week later for $450....so Im already bummed about that..plus i didnt get my warranty they were charging me an extra $300 for that....
