Welcome to Dell Community!
thanks PudgyOne but it keep sending the same message when i try to install "Error opening installation log files.make sure that the specified log file location exists and that there is not read-only"
Hello Agerwxos,
Could you please provide me with the installer log files? These will be helpful in helping us root cause the issue you are having. Follow the steps below to obtain these files:
1. Open the run window (windows key+R)
2. Type %appdata% and press enter
3. Double click on the PCDr folder
4. There should be at least an installer folder, but could have an installer and an Update folder. Within each folder there will be a Logs directory. Right click on the logs directory and select send to compressed file and send these files to me through the forums? If you are sending two compressed files, please make sure to name them accordingly.
Thanks,
James
Thanks again for taking the time to provide the log files that I had requested. I sent you another message with some additional steps to take to try and "work around" this issue. After further research a Microsoft Knowledge base article <support.microsoft.com/.../2564571> indicates this as a known issue. We suggest that you follow the steps outlined on the MS KB page to correct the issue.
