I hope someone can help - this is driving me mad.
I have a D600 and wanted to switch off the Tap to Click function on the Touchpad.
I had a Synaptics icon but the Tap to Click option was greyed out.
I have been trying to find the right driver for hours.
When I first looked at the mouse settings, I didn't have a Touchpad option but the pad was listed as Synaptics.
After a while, I downloaded an Alps driver - it still doesn't offer Tap to Click.
Device manager now says I have Alps Touchpad.
Oh dear.
Hi 388brianh,
Welcome to the Community,
Alps Touchpad driver is the correct driver for your system model.
You can use the link below to install the correct driver for the touchpad:
www.dell.com/.../DriverFileFormats
After installing the above driver go to Control panel, mouse properties and check if you get the option to change settings for tapping.
If you don't get that option,to further check request you to take a screen shot of the mouse properties and post it back here.
Hope this helps,
Thank You,
Roshan
