Computer froze, then would not shut down, had to hard power down, then next start up the boot menu appeared. We told it to start system normally. Next time it went to sleep and we tried to wake it, it would not wake up, will not come on and beeping starts after pushing power button. The power button is lit. Please help, this laptop is only a year old.

It is possible hardware failure. Could be motherboard or processor. Is this under warranty. Please accept my friend request, and send me the service tag of the computer through private message.

I seem to have the same Issue with My M5030 LAPTOP. Its a series of 7 beeps when you try to boot up the laptop. Screen will not come and then all you hear are 7 beeps. According to diagnostics codes the 7 beeps mean CPU failure. I have contacted dell support but they are unable to help me since it is 9 DAYS OUT OF WARRANTY.
Can i receive some assistance regarding this matter ?

For me, I got lucky and it was still under warranty. They replaced the motherboard I believe. Your best bet is to call Dell support. They were very helpful and courteous and the repair was done extremely quick! Good luck...so sorry..I know it's a hassle. I feel your pain.
