I have a problem with the cooling fan. When it starts it does not stop running even if temperatures of CPU and GPU drop to normal values. I monitor the temperatures with speedfan. Once started, the fan keeps going until I turn off or hybernate the machine. Then the fan shut down and starts again very loud when temperatures become hot (without stopping again ) and so on. The problem occurs randomly after a few hour or a few minutes after reboot/hybernation. The laptop performance is also very slow when the fan(s) are active. It takes minutes to open a webpage and so on...
I have cleaned the fan & dissipators inside the laptiop and I have also run Dell system diagnostics. There's no problem except once with the CPU L1 and L2 cache test (unable to clean the cache). I repeated the same test tens of times after and the error did not occur.
However I do think that this fan issue might be related to a defective CPU/Motherboard? I will really appreciate a help on this issue.
