I updated my graphic and sound drivers yesterday on my Dell Studio 17.I restarted the system like I would do after any installation or update only to find that my laptop wouldnt boot up, instead it redirected me to system repair.
I thought there must be something wrong with what i updated... So I tried system restore, and there were no restore points. PC restore... there were no restore points.
I tried restarting my system and booting it in safe mode, but again, it just opened system repair without me choosing that option.
I tried for at least an hour getting it to start up, but nothing was working so I thought I'd restore it to factory settings... So on windows start-up repair, which showed the error of 'Operating system not compatible with start-up repair', I clicked on Dell Factory Image restore, I continued through the points, then it started for a second however the window disappeared seconds after and nothing happened. Leaving me at startup repair yet again.
This is really annoying because I can't use my laptop which I need for every day work. Having it at factory settings would be ideal too.
There are no bootable CD's as my Dell Studio didn't come with any.
Does anyone suggest anything? Other then buying a new laptop.
