I recently tried to install new internet security software on my computer and my drive would not load the software. So I go into my device manager and see a yellow exclamation point under my dvd/cd-rom drive for device TSSTcorp DVD+-RW TS-L632H ATA Device. It says that the device cannot start (code 10). I have tried updating my drivers and checking for solutions and this has no resolved anything! I have googled this and some sites say to delete my upper and lower filters from my registry, but I'm apphrensive to do that considering I might delete something that I may not be able to recover. How do I fix this issue? Oh and my warranty just ended in July. :(
I have an Inspiron 1525 with Windows Vista Home Premium 32-bit.
Pulling my hair out,
