Hi,
My new laptop Vostro A840 came with preloaded Ubuntu. I have made a clean installation of Windows XP. Everything works except for the Sound. I have installed the Drivers from the Dell Drivers CD. When I manually try to install the Audio Driver, I get a message "...No MEDIA found".
P lease help

I did install the drivers in the correct order as given in the link. In the suppoet website drivers for Windows XP only is available. But drivers for Windows XP is available in the Dell Driver CD. How can they provide drivers which do not work!
Nothing is muted. Infact, the Device Manager shows "No Audio Device". Hardware is surely OK.
Did you ever resolve this audio issue. I have the same issue.
Thanks
Jim
