LATITUDE 110L Sound not working

  • Hello My name is tony and my sound is not working in my headphones or my speakers. Ive tried using the chat but it kept shutting down on me i cant system restore cause my CD is broken and i have too much to lose please help
  • Tony, using System Restore does not wipe your data (using PC Restore does but it is an entirely different utility) and it doesn't require a disk. Go to Start/Help & Support/System Restore and tick 'Restore my computer to an earlier time'. Try to get the Registry back to a time before the problem first occurred.

    If that doesn't work then often reinstalling the audio driver will fix a problem. You didn't mention your OS; here is your XP page but if you have Win 2000 be sure to select it instead in the dropdown box.

    Click the + sign by Audio to get to the Sigmatel driver.


    PS If you don't have audio because you just install a new OS that is a different situation and none of the above will work.
