Hello guys, I just woke up and my XPS 17 would not emit any sound, even though it was not muted or anything like that. My headphones do work when they are plugged in, so I think it must be the speakers or speaker hardware. Any and all help is much appreciated!
That is one of the symptoms of sense pin failure. See the 1st section of the Headphone Jack FAQ for an explanation of the issue, a description of the other symptoms, and a method to diagnose it.
