keyboard is vibrating even when the volume is not high. i was able to fix this problem before as i found out there were two palyback devices. it was vibrating coz by the default laptop was using speakers that were supposed to be used for conversations on skype. however, all of a sudden i do not see the other playback device so i cannot change it. i tried re-installing drivers but it did not help
Welcome to the Community,
Have you checked if the other playback device is disabled? To check go to Control panel,Sound,Playback,Right click on an empty space below the playback device (ideally Speakers) which is listed and select Show Disabled Devices.
Let me know if this helps,

yes i have tried doing that already but nothing showed up
Did you check in device manager to see if any unknown device is listed? Were you using any external speakers before?
i don't recognize anything unusual in the device manager. i haven't used external speakers.
To further check could you post a screen shot, showing the playback device listed on your system?
here it is
Device manager looks normal with Realtek High Definition Audio listed under sounds and accordingly you have Realtek High Definition Audio listed as default speakers as playback device under Sound.
So you are conforming that earlier you were able to switch between the playback device, when you went to Control Panel,Sound,Playback.
Under playback if you right click on speakers and click properties,it brings up the Speaker properties. It should give you an option to adjust the sound levels on the speakers and microphone.Try changing those levels and see if that makes a difference.
Since you're also referring to Skype, just wanted to confirm if this vibration issue comes up only while using Skype ? Have you changed any Audio settings in Skype?
Let me know if changing sound levels for speaker helps.
yes. i was able to switch between two playback devices. the issue does not happen only when i use skype. i was trying to say that one of the two devices was set default and in the description it said it is a device used for communication. when that device was set to be default i could notice that sound would come predominately from the keyboard and it would sound very deep. when i switched to the other device the keyboard would stop vibrating and producing the vibration sound and the sound would clearly come from the speakers that are visible from below. i also noticed few times that during movies sound would kind of skip from on playback device to another (the source of sound would clearly change for few seconds).
i have also tried changing levels, and all the other options that are available. however, the only way to stop the vibration was to lower the volume too much..and the speakers are weak even when the volume is max
So you've tried working around with the drivers and all the possible settings but still no change.According to your last post it sounds like an issue with the hardware (speakers) itself.
