I've searched far and wide and haven't come up with anything. From the motherboard pictures I've found that the 4700 utilizes, it only shows the two SATA connectors labeled as SATA-0 and SATA-2. I'm fairly sure this only designates the two connections in terms of how they are labeled for reading in the system BIOS.No where in the manual does it say anything about the board supporting SATA 2.
Just wondering if I can remove the jumper on a new 250G Seagate that supports 3.0.

So in otherwords, the drive will work fine, however, I will not be able to utilze the 3.0m/s trasfer speed that the drive is capable of?
I just wanted to make sure before I open up my tower to remove the jumper on the back of the new HDD.
