My XPS 420 came with RAID 0 configured with only one HD (320GB). Want to add 2nd HD (500GB) but not as RAID.
When I switch RAID 0 to off in BIOS, I can't boot Vista.
I want to add the 2nd HD as a non-RAID SATA drive (D:)
Can I do this without blowing away my existing vista 32-bit install on C:?
Had no idea this would happen, didn't even know my xps 420 was configured as RAID 0 with only one HD, why would they do that?
Changed bios settings back and can boot now (unplugged power to 2nd HD).
Thanks for any help!!
