I have just purchased a Dell Studio 15, with the Blue Ray upgrade. The Dell Studio has an HDMI ouput which works well, but when a Blue Ray disk is played using PowerDVD DX (8.2.5408) it refuses to play if the HDMI output is connected. OK... silliest fix for this in the world... after 2 hours of an online chat with Dell tech support. With your hdmi screen plugged in, hold the Fn key down and tap the F8 key... look at the little icons on the F8 key (may or may not be there.) Apparently, that undocumented icon means 'choose graphic...

When I try to play blue ray disks using media direct it shuts down. I think it works a little more stable when it is not playing them in full screen mode. Also some BD work fine but most of BD cause this problem.
