Changed motherboard battery, now video is degraded

This question has suggested answer(s)

Dell Dimension E521

Service tag:<Admin removal of service Tag>

Monitor: Dell 20-inch LCD model IN2020M

-----------------

The button battery on the motherboard was failing, so I replaced it.

Upon rebooting, the quality of the monitor image had degraded. It's still usable, but small fonts are not nearly as sharp as they were.

I reset BIOS to factory defaults, but that didn't fix the problem.

I have no idea how this could have happened. Suggestions are eagerly requested.

  • I edited your post to remove you service tag. Posting that is  TOU violation and is for security reasons.

Have you tried reinstalling your video drivers
