Dell PC Diagnostics error

This question is not answered

Hi I'm getting the following error when running the Dell PC Diagnostic:

pcdrsysinfosoftware.p5x - System Error

---------------------------

The program can't start because MSVCR100.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem.

  • Hi Patrick,

It seems that the error message is related to diagnostics application within Windows. Please uninstall the Dell Support Center from the ‘Control Panel’. Here are the steps,

    • Click Start.
    • Click Control Panel.
    • Click Programs.
    • Click Programs and Features.
    • Click ‘Dell Support Center’ highlight it.
    • Click Uninstall/Change.
    • Follow through the prompts in order to remove the software.
    • Restart the computer.

Now download and install ‘Dell Support Center’ from the link: http://dell.to/RS19Iy

    • Choose the country
    • Click on ‘Download Now’
    • Save the File
    • Right click and choose ‘Run as Administrator’, install the file
    • Restart the computer

Dell Support Center’s auto update has been pushed with a new interface. It is now called My Dell.

I would recommend you to run the on-board diagnostics (outside windows) using the below mentioned steps to check the system hardware functionality.

    To run the on-board Diagnostics:

    • Power off the computer
    • Restart the computer, press F12 on the Dell logo
    • Select ‘Diagnostics’ from the boot menu
    • Please refer to the link if any error code shows up http://dell.to/OUGnqT

Please reply if you have any questions.

    Thanks & Regards,
