Hi, I am trying to reformat my Dell Inspiron 519 but no matter how i set the boot order in the BIOS it boots to the primary hard disk, if i unplug that disk it boots to CD properly. It does the same thing if i hit F12 and tell it to boot from CD, if the HDD is plugged it it ignores me and boot straight to that disk. Any Help would be appreciated!

In Bios, under Boot Settings Configuration, what is selected? Also in Hard Disk Boot Priority?
You can also try to Load Defaults in BIOS and try again.

I am also having this same problem. I have replaced all SATA cables, tried different power supply and motherboard and CPU to no avail. I even disabled the HDD from the boot priority completely and it will still boot the HDD first. It evens skips a USB test key.
Any help from Dell here?
